Electrical problem at Braidwoon NPP triggers shut down
An electrical problem in the Unit 2 main generator of Exelon's Braidwood plant is being blamed for the shutdown early Monday morning of the plant's two nuclear power units. The problem, registered at 2:06 a.m., automatically shut down the Unit 2 turbine followed 13 minutes later by the shutdown of the Unit 1 reactor.
